The neighbouring island of Hydra is also worth a short visit, you will see its port on the way to Spetses (no cars, many donkeys and cats), see for instance: Note that the workshop will coincide with the Armata Festival, which commemorates a naval battle between Greek and Ottoman ships during the Greek War of Independence. At last, if you would like to explore Pelopponese mainland, it is possible to cross by boat towards Kosta or Porto Heli (see for instance https://www.hellenicseaways.gr/en-gb Spetses -> Porto Heli). It is possible to rent cars in both places, but be careful to choose a company that would also have an agency at the aiport and allow you to give back the car there on your way back.
